Key Responsibilities:

Coffee Preparation and Service:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, following standardized recipes and techniques.
  • Grind coffee beans, extract espresso shots, steam milk
  • Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation of beverages by adhering to company standards.

    Customer Service:

    • Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
    • Engage with customers, answer their questions and menu offerings.
    • Deliver prompt and friendly service, ensuring an enjoyable and personalized experience for each customer.

      Equipment Maintenance and Cleanliness:

      • Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, ensuring they are clean, calibrated, and in proper working condition.
      • Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of perishable items, cleaning schedules, and sanitation procedures.
      • Regularly clean and organize the coffee bar area, including counters, utensils, and seating areas.
      • Cash Handling and Point of Sale (POS) Operations:
      • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register or POS system.
      • Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, ensuring proper accounting and reconciliation.
      • Maintain accurate cash balances and adhere to cash handling policies.

        Team Collaboration:

        • Collaborate with other baristas and team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service during peak periods.
        • Assist in training new baristas on coffee preparation techniques, customer service, and company procedures.
        • Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any operational or customer-related issues.

Having prior experience as a barista in a coffee shop or similar setting is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (coffee bags, milk containers, etc.).
  • Salary ranges from RM2,000 - RM2,300
