Overview:

The Head of Management Information System (MIS) will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of all management information systems within the company. Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Manage a team of MIS professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to identify MIS needs, prioritize projects, and ensure alignment with overall business strategies.
  • Management: Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data to generate actionable insights and support decision-making processes across the organization.
  • Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to MIS, including data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including negotiation of contracts, service level agreements, and performance monitoring.
  • Cost Control: Develop and manage the MIS department budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing management information systems within a retail or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of retail business processes and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency in JEMiSys will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid technical knowledge of MIS technologies, databases, software development, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
