Recreation Attendant

What’s the job?

As Recreation Attendant you’ll inspect, stock, and maintain Health Club/Pool in a clean and orderly manner and promote a relaxing and enjoyable environment. Ensure the security of the guest by verifying guest registration.

Your day-to-day

• At the beginning of each shift, check all supplies to ensure adequate stock; replenish from the stock room as necessary.
• Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
• Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Complete all Swimming Pool & Gym duties and maintain the cleanliness of the locker rooms, common areas, and all areas related to the Health Club throughout shift.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
• Greet and treat Members and guests in a professional and friendly manner. Follow established rules of engagement, e.g., treat each guest as if they are the only person in the room giving them full attention, address each person by name, etc.
• Ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.

What we need from you

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English preferred.
• Must speak local language(s)
• Other languages preferred
