The Group Head of Finance will be responsible for leading the financial strategy across the multinational operations of our client, focusing on strong financial governance, implementing finance practices across the organization, and ensuring operational excellence. This role demands significant expertise in financial governance, process standardization, and transformation within a high-growth, multinational context. The ideal candidate will have experience in building finance functions and shared services from the ground up, ensuring financial consistency across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Governance & Compliance:
  • Develop and enforce a strong financial governance framework, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and local regulations in the relevant countries.
  • Oversee group-wide audits and mitigate financial risks through effective management of internal and external reporting processes.
  1. Driving Finance Practice Adoption:
  • Standardize financial practices across all subsidiaries to align with the group’s strategic goals.
  • Implement new financial processes, technologies, and systems to enhance collaboration and consistency across the organization.
  1. Establishing Multinational Shared Services:
  • Lead the creation of a centralized shared services model to streamline financial operations across regions.
  • Focus on process automation and resource optimization for efficiency and scalability.
  1. Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Formulate and execute the group’s financial strategy, aligning it with long-term business growth objectives.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing insights and recommendations to senior management and the board.
  1. Excellence in Financial Operations:
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and cost management to ensure financial stability and profitability.
  • Standardize accounts payable and receivable processes across regions to maintain healthy cash flow and strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
  • 10-15 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a multinational shared services setting.
  • Proven success in driving financial governance, compliance, and operational improvements within a regional or multinational framework.
  • Experience in leading financial transformations, change management, and process standardization across multiple subsidiaries.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements across the relevant countries.
