Assistant Manager, Group Finance (Management Reporting)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst who will play a key role in analyzing financial performance, developing financial models, and supporting various finance initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will be adept at communicating with Business Units to gather necessary financial data, perform comprehensive analysis, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Modeling: Compile and analyze financial data, create models, and identify trends to support informed decision-making.
• Budget & Forecast Management: Gather, analyze, and present budget and forecast data, monitoring performance against targets and conducting variance analysis.
• Initiative-Specific Analysis: Track and analyze specific financial initiatives, such as cost-benefit analysis, to ensure effective execution and reporting.
• Market Research: Conduct research for performance benchmarking and industry comparison.
• Accounting Functions: Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, prepare monthly financial reports, and manage tax and audit-related activities.
• Group Support: Assist with financial consolidation, analysis, and reporting at the Group level as well as relevant ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is available.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business
• Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., MIA, ACCA, ICAEW) is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis or reporting, with audit experience being a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; Detail-oriented and diligent in managing tasks, Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and Proficient in PowerPoint and capable of creating compelling presentations.
