Job Description
Lead Engineer (M&E) is responsible for managing a team of engineers to maintain and streamline related projects under the Mechanical and Electrical department. Ultimately, you will be directing and managing the related aspects of mechanical and electrical of the assigned projects while ensuring the progressiveness of the operations and the team performance.
You are responsible to:
- Plan and manage strategic projects, including feasibility analysis, budgeting, space planning, and developing solutions across sectors.
- Develop and maintain departmental guidelines, templates, and specifications, and oversee detailed design work for mechanical, electrical, and ICT projects.
- Lead technical design input, ensuring project quality, and manage tendering processes, recommending consultants and subcontractors.
- Perform engineering design, calculations, and validation, including reviewing BIM models and design drawings.
- Prepare technical presentations, manage subcontractor submittals, and address technical challenges.
- Ensure timely submission of documents, site safety, quality, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Support project and client management, develop team members' technical skills and provide professional advice.
To be successful in the role:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent fields.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience as a full-time Engineer and consultancy experience related to M&E design and layout.
- Candidates with M&E consultancy will be highly preferred
- Proven experience in big-scale hotel and public building projects.
- Knowledge of BIM modeller or relevant software regarding building and infrastructure design.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or relevant software.
