- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in selecting baking ingredients, answering questions, and providing recommendations based on their needs.
- Sales: Promote sales and special promotions, upsell complementary products, and process transactions efficiently using the store’s POS system.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the baking ingredients we sell, such as flour, sugar, baking powder, yeast, and specialty items like gluten-free or organic products, in order to advise customers accurately.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing stock levels, restocking shelves, and keeping an eye on product expiration dates.
- Merchandising: Ensure that displays are visually appealing and the store is tidy, well-organized, and fully stocked.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Safety & Hygiene: Ensure the store complies with health and safety regulations, especially regarding food safety and ingredient handling.
- Team Support: Work closely with other team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Minimum of SPM or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, particularly in a food-related or specialty ingredients store, is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and inventory counts.
- Passion or interest in baking and cooking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
