About the Job

The Regional HR Advisor will play a crucial role in managing HR functions across multiple countries in the Asia region (Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh & India). This role will provide comprehensive HR operational support and manage HR related issues together with the regional HR Director. This is a 1 year contract position (renewable) which will be based in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Address and resolve employee issues, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
  • Promote a positive work environment and culture across the region.

2. Compliance & Legal:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies in each country.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment legislation and provide recommendations for policy updates.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate HR records and documentation as required.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics and employee engagement.

3. HR Strategy & Projects:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist with HR projects such as compensation reviews, employee engagement programs, and organizational development.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure consistency and best practices across the region.

4. Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate with relevant departments to deliver training programs.
  • Promote professional development opportunities and career growth for employees.

5. Benefits Administration:

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issues, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and ensure accurate and efficient benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Monitor and analyze benefits utilization and trends to recommend enhancements or changes to benefit programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a regional or international HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR practices in at least one of the following countries: Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Pakistan, and Bangladesh
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin to deal with international stakeholders and stakeholders who are based in HQ
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
