SPD Scientific Pte Ltd is rapidly expanding. As part of our expansion program, we are seeking experienced and high-caliber individual in this newly created role to join us.

Responsibilities:

Details of the task as mentioned below:

  • Conduct cold calls and visit to prospects and customers within stipulated industries and geographical demographics
  • Generate new sales enquiries and expand market potential of the given industries and geographical demographics
  • Responsible in maintaining rapport and contacts in the stipulated industries and geographical demographics
  • Execute strategies and sales techniques as stipulated by the Sales / Business Manager
  • Maintain the minimum requirement of the revenues/GP sales set by the company. Any special scenarios with regards to the GP margins will need prior discussion with Managers
  • Build up product knowledge in order to be in a position to interest customers with the product or service introduced
  • Provide feedback (success / failures) and market demands / trends / competition info from sales team to APM / PM to determine next appropriate strategy / action
  • Deliver marketing communication required by the Product Managers and Applications (i.e. getting messages across to customers)
  • Involve in activities for market penetration / advertising/ exhibitions, seminars, conventions and other forms of creative selling
  • Manage sales strategies to improve market share and profitability for the business
  • Provide regular reports to the management team on market / customer / sales movements
  • Report market trends of new & existing products in the local market
  • Build SPD Scientific company image in the market as a reliable partner for all their needs
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma / bachelor's degree in biotechnology / medical technology /Life Sciences/Food Technology
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in sales for life science equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence customers at all levels
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Professional, self-motivated, focused and creative thinking
