Job Responsibilities:

  • Menu Design and Development: Create and develop hotpot menus that meet Halal standards, ensuring all ingredients and cooking methods comply with religious requirements.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, including ingredient procurement, inventory management, and food safety, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and train the kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members understand Halal food requirements and hotpot cooking techniques.
  • Cost Control: Effectively manage food costs, minimize waste, and optimize kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the quality and consistency of dishes, ensuring fast and satisfactory customer service.
  • Supplier Management: Establish good relationships with suppliers to ensure all ingredients meet Halal standards, are reasonably priced, and are consistently available.
  • Innovation and Trends: Keep up with market trends and continuously innovate the menu to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an executive chef in ASIAN restaurant or hotpot restaurants, with substantial experience in Halal food preparation.
  • Halal Standards: In-depth knowledge of Halal food laws and cultural requirements, ensuring all kitchen operations comply with Halal guidelines.
  • Professional Skills: Expertise in hotpot broth, seasoning, and ingredient preparation, with excellent knife skills and cooking techniques.
  • Teamwork: Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and guide the kitchen team, fostering a high-performing work environment.
  • Food Safety: Experience managing food safety protocols and understanding local health and safety standards.
  • Innovation: Ability to develop new dishes and keep up with current food trends, constantly improving the customer experience.
  • Communication Skills: Maintain effective communication with the front-of-house staff and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Mandarin; proficiency in additional languages (such as Arabic or English) is a plus.
