Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an IT, System Analyst at Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Berhad located in Setia Alam, Corporate HQ. The System Analyst will be focusing on:-

1. Linux OS setup and administration

2. Virtual machine setup and administration

3. Cloud platform (AWS) setup and administration

4. General networking setup and supports

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Able to troubleshoot, analyze computer, configure, network systems to ensure hardware always in tip top condition.
  • Ensure the maintenance, repair or replacement of computer technical components on time.
  • Attend, follow up and resolve end-user issues to reduce breakdown time.
  • Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including system software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  • Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  • Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
  • Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
  • Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Possess with Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and related field.
  • Strong in networking and IT systems troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Excellent administration of Linux, Windows, VM, and cloud platforms
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic business English for written.
  • With minimum five years of working experience as system/network engineer or related field.
  • Must be able to travel and work outside office hours if required.
