PAYROLL ANALYST - Mandarin

JOB SCOPE

• We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to overseeing payroll procedures, preparing

reports and forecasts for senior management, ensuring compliance with all

compensation and tax regulations.

• Responsibilities include reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies

and errors, consolidating pay register and ensuring payments are made on time.

• To be successful in this role, you should have excellent analytical skills with the

ability to spot numerical errors. Ultimately, you’ll help us to maintain an efficient

payroll process that complies with local regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

PPG GSC Payroll team is in charged largely in 3 areas to support PPG overall payroll

operations and stabilization.

1. Payroll Payment Management

• Conduct payroll payment processing through gathering, consolidating and

uploading payroll register for data of assigned countries

• Manage and consolidate payroll register, produce variance report and review

cash flow position by ensuring adequate funding for payout

• Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year.

• Manage the flow of payroll approval process

• Assist Finance in payroll reconciliation, and preparation of journal voucher for

posting

• Conduct swift and accurate transfers and payments, if required.

2. Payroll Project and Migration

• Act as the Payroll SME to review pay elements setup and logic testing (UAT),

perform payroll bank file testing, and ensure all payroll records are correct and

accurate

• Prepare and submit necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits and

garnishments

• Report to management on payroll project issues and request

• Coordinate closely with 3rd party vendor(s) and/or Consultants in ascertaining

payroll data, and statutory contributions are constantly compliance to local

labour laws.

• Act as the first contact point to resolve payroll enquiries from country and issues

with third party vendor(s).

• Support continuous improvement (CI) of Payroll process including driving

standardization, automation and transformation agenda.

• Establish efficient communication channels and maintain close working

relationships with HK HQ, GSC team and local countries.

• Update project milestone progress and lesson learnt on the Smartsheet.

• Any other tasks or projects as assigned.

3. Payroll Analysis and Administration

• Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records.

• Prepare and submit various payroll related reports for approval as per scheduled

timelines.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all relevant payroll documents.

• Prepare Operating Manual (OM) and Desk Procedure / Work Instruction.

• Resolve issues escalated from the country; for severe issues to escalate to GSC

HOD on a timely manner.

• Ensure internal controls are in place. Keeps abreast with changes of internal

guidelines and external regulations.

ABOUT YOU:

Education / Professional Qualification

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human

Resource, Banking, Accounting or equivalent.

Professional Experiences

• 5 years’ experience in Payroll processing, analyzing or related field.

• Experience in establishing and/or maintaining payroll processes and controls.

• Outsourcing / Shared Services environment and experience will be an added

advantage.

• Exposure in process standardization and automation experience will be an

added advantage.

• Good knowledge on MS Office applications, MS Project and Smartsheet.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
