Finance Executive (Contractual)

Job Purpose To ensure all payables transactions, payments and related reconciliations are managed effectively. The role is also expected to support the Finance managers to review the Profit & Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets of the company and its subsidiaries and work with other departments on stock take verification. Principal Accountabilities Ensure balances such as payroll, credit cards, petty cash, staff advances and staff claims are properly recorded, reconciled on monthly basis, reviewed and cleared as necessary. To create and maintain Staff Resources master data in the accounting system, Exact. Ensure relevant non-trade payables transactions are recorded in the financial systems accurately and on a timely basis, and invoices are verified and approved properly. To ensure banking Facilities such as Letters of credit (LC) for suppliers are handled accurately and on a timely basis. Knowledge of LC Processes will be an advantage. Assist the Finance Managers to implement appropriate controls over procure to pay, and ensure proper processes are in place. Assist the Finance Managers to ensure month end and year end close are carried out on a timely basis. Assist the Finance Managers to review Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet accounts pertaining to principal activities and ensure all balances are up to-date. To record indirect taxes in the accounting system. Understanding of indirect taxes such as Withholding Tax, Digital Tax, Imported Service Tax and Value Added Tax (VAT) is an advantage as our suppliers’ invoices are subject to indirect taxes.
