Job Description
- Develop and design electrical systems, automation controls, and instrumentation for manufacturing and industrial processes, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Program, configure, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for efficient automation.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various sensors, actuators, and instrumentation devices to ensure accurate data collection and control.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with electrical and automation systems to minimize production downtime.
- Identify and implement upgrades to existing control systems and electrical equipment to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and manage electrical and automation projects, including resource planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and timely execution.
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of automation systems, ensuring successful start-up and handover to the production team.
- Ensure that all electrical systems, equipment, and processes comply with relevant industry standards (IEC, NEC) and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and automation system configurations, and generate reports on system performance and project progress.
- Drive continuous improvement in electrical and automation processes through innovation, training, and implementing best practices in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and production optimization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, instrumentation, or automation, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience with PLC, SCADA, and DCS programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with system integration and control panel design.
- Excellent problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
