About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire process of delivering impactful events, including awards programs, corporate hospitality, tradeshows, and speaking engagements. The aim is to strengthen business relationships, enhance brand awareness, and drive sales. Responsibilities include using various communication channels to promote events, creating all event-related content, and aligning event activities with business growth objectives in Malaysia and Singapore. The role also requires collaboration with local sales teams to develop event strategies, itineraries, and support materials for subject matter experts.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of impactful events, including Awards programs, corporate hospitality, tradeshow participation, Subject Matter Expert (SME) programs and speaking engagements, that build business relationships, generate excitement around our company, grow sales and amplify brand awareness.
  • Making effective use of all owned and paid channels, including utilising communications and digital professionals to amplify in-markets events, when relevant.
  • Authoring all content for events, including, but not limited to, landing pages, social content and event direct mailers (e.g., speaker invitations, calls for paper announcements, sponsor prospectus, invitations, registration announcements, post-event comms, etc.)
  • Align event activity to support growth areas of the Malaysian and Singaporean businesses, working with sales, client success and other internal teams to support the delivery of business objectives.
  • Work with local sales teams to develop – event strategy briefs; itineraries and sales support assets for visiting subject matter experts (SMEs); and speaker circuit presentations and landing pages.

About You

We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and driven Events Communications & Community Specialist. Your proven ability to create onsite client experiences that align with our market-leading brand will ensure your success in this role.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum of 3 years events experience in delivering large - and small - scale corporate events in an innovative fast-moving environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in events management or other relevant fields will be a plus.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities for effective vendor management and collaboration with various suppliers, speakers, and entertainers.
  • An understanding of the workflows supporting the setup of third-party platforms or related systems for a smooth event experience. Plus, you're proficient in conference apps, event websites, webinar software, and MS Office for effortless administration.
  • Professional presentation, with a high emotional intelligence.
  • Willing to travel (When required).
