Job Scope / Position Summary

This position leads the product strategy, proposition and delivery of products incorporating customer needs, distribution needs and market intelligence balanced with the company’s risk appetite and system requirements. Followed through with product training, launch and promotion.

Main Responsibility

Product Development

  • Manage the product propositions and lifecycle incorporating market research, customer needs analysis and distribution feedback.
  • Working with key stakeholders in the design, definition and the delivery of product propositions aligned with the distribution growth strategy.
  • Lead the product setup in the frontend systems and ensuring correct end to end flow of policy issuance process.

Product Governance

  • Manage and coordinate the product approval process.
  • Prepare and review sign-off documents.
  • Provide support in identifying product gaps and developing new strategies or initiatives required by the company and/or regulator.
  • Comply with BNM guidelines as well as any other government authority requirements including the BNM requirements on product transparency and disclosure.

Product Monitoring and Reporting

  • Coordinate periodical product related submissions to regulators.
  • Performs periodic on-the-shelf product review which entail key performance indicators analysis.
  • Provide periodical update to Product Committee on product performance, especially newly launched projects.

Other

  • Measure the performance of different products & initiatives to ensure up-to date segmentation and positioning of products.
  • Conduct product trainings to internal staff and agents to enhance understanding of existing and new products.

Qualification and Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field. Fellow of a recognized actuarial society is an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience. Requires thorough knowledge of actuarial and risk management processes and a complete understanding of the factors.
  • Strong financial, leadership and project management skills.
