Service Technician (Penang)

The Service Technician is responsible for carrying out maintenance, repair and testing of trucks. The jobholder also supports commissioning and at the customers’ premises. • Maintenance, repairs and legal inspection of electrically operat-ed, trucks. According to valid directives, safety regulations and manufacturing specifications • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics on mechanics, hydraulics, controls and electrical industrial components. Partly in collabo-ration with internal and external support • Creation and care of system documentation, parameter back-ups • Testing of safety equipment as a specialist (only with attained additional qualification) • Creation and care of maintenance lists for offer preparation • Documentation of executed works e.g. with service reports • Support for commissioning for VNAs Job Requirement • Products + Services: Deep Knowledge of the products and services in the relevant business section. According the level of qualification. Level of Qualification for Trucks: o Electric and Gas trucks o Hydraulic systems Level of Qualification VNAs: o Basic knowledge of VNAs o Understanding of the higher complexity comparted to standard trucks • Industry: Knowledge and experiences regarding processes and standards of the relevant customers. • IT: Deep knowledge and proficient use of IT-systems within the area of responsibility o ServicePlus o MS Office o Diagnostic software, internal o Parametrization software o Documentation tools • Personal skills: o Organisational skills o Team player o Willingness to work at night, holidays and weekends o Personal flexibility o Cope with a dynamic environment • Analysis + structure: o Methodical troubleshooting Qualification • Mechanical or electromechanical background • Can apply and utilize knowledge of a Junior Technician • Good English language skills
