Job summary:

  • The International Export Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods across international borders. Key responsibilities include preparing and verifying export documentation, managing shipping schedules, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to resolve any issues that may arise during transit.

Job role and responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage logistics operations for designated key accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Place bookings with ocean carriers, manage landside logistics, port receival lodgements and transport documentation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute end-to-end logistics processes.
  • Monitor shipments, track delivery timelines, and resolve any operational issues – providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement logistics solutions involving dangerous goods.
  • Maintain a good level of understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Collaborate with procurement, transportation, and customer service teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade laws, regulations, and company policies. Address regulatory and documentation challenges to ensure compliance.
  • Resolve any issues related to export logistics, such as delays, customs clearance, or damage claims.
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and customers, to manage the entire export process from order placement to final delivery.

Skills:

  • Experience- 2-5 years of experience in export coordination, logistics, or international trade.
  • Experience in logistics operations with a basic understanding of ocean freight.
  • Dangerous goods certification or experience would be looked on favourably.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, global trade regulations, customs procedures, and export regulations.
  • Exposure to CW1 (Cargowise) is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Takes initiative and willing to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
