Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of site permitting operations, enforcement, coordination and joint initiatives with industry stakeholders and government agencies (MNOs, State Governments, Local Authorities) to develop and advocate for policies and regulations.

  • Establishes, manages and strengthens relationships with relevant industry stakeholders e.g. Federal Ministries, Regulators, State Governments, Local Authorities, Telcos, SBCs/NFPs and other relevant parties.
  • Ensures compliance to all regulations, laws and license conditions set by authorities at all time.
  • Maintain close relationship and communications with the policy makers (State & Local Authorities) and government agencies in order to ensure company’s interests are continuously protected.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage operational and policy matters at State and Local Authority levels and responsible to ensure company’s services and products remain in compliance to regulatory requirements and regulations set by authorities especially on Local Authority permitting requirements
  • Responsible in developing and executing relationship initiatives that contributes to competitive advantages for EDOTCO to compete at an un-levelled playing field
  • Assists and influences in the development of new policies & guidelines and amendment of existing rules and regulations adopted by State and Local Authorities.
  • Lead collaboration initiatives with State Governments, Local Authorities, SBCs and state agencies to increase EDOTCO profitability, visibility and relevancy in the industry.
  • Lead to protect and enhance the company position in the industry with relevant industry stakeholders
  • Responsible in engagement with the State Government, Local Authorities, MCMC, and Industry Players in effort to build highly-positive rapport and collaboration.
  • Executes roles and activities in line with all relevant laws and permissible business practices to safeguard the company highly respected brand name.
  • Manage a team of executives, providing leadership, guidance, mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to fuel their success.

Strategic Engagements

  • Responsible for the strategic management and expansion of landbank portfolio, as well as establishing and maintaining partnerships that enhance the company’s infrastructure capabilities and market presence.
  • Strategic Management of Landbank by developing and implementing strategies for the acquisition, development, and management of land assets.
  • Oversee land partnerships and acquisitions processes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize landbanks use to support the company’s expansion and operational efficiency.
  • To develop partnerships through identifying and engaging potential corporations, partners and land owners to enhance EDOTCO’s service offerings and market reach.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements to ensure mutual benefits and alignment with company objectives.
  • Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, landowners, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of landbank assets into operational projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of land assets and partnerships, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Lead efforts to innovate and adopt best practices in land management and partnership Ensure cost-effective management of landbank and partnership initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Engineering graduate with specialization in Electrical/Telecommunications engineering. Post Graduate degree an added advantage

More than 18 years of experience in telecommunication industry, especially in commercial / network Rollout.

Experience in engagement with government agencies, state government agencies and local government

Project Management certification preferred
