Required Qualifications:
§ Degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerospace/Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 8 years working experience in a process engineering or manufacturing environment. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
§ Experience working in an aviation MRO is a strong advantage for this position
§ Prior leadership experience in leading a team is desired
§ Knowledge of Lean Methodologies especially Value Stream Mapping is the basic requirement for this role
§ Minimum Lean / 6-Sigma Green Belt Certification backed with actual project implementation using the DMAIC framework, evident of sound statistical knowledge and with a substantial cost saving achievement
§ ISO9001 Internal Auditor certification and/or auditing experience is a strong advantage for this position
§ Basic knowledge of Risk Management, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRAC) or Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (PFMEA) will be a great advantage for this position
§ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and other language will be added advantage
§ Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio etc.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Provide guidance and support to the team towards meeting the section, departmental and company goals
§ Establishment of the full Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework for all ASSB repair and business processes and integrating each sub-architecture (application, information and technology) into a single network with interdependency
§ Modelling and analyzing the EA for area of deficiencies and improvements
§ Work closely with the Zero Defects and Lean Team for potential 6-Sigma, Poka Yoke or Kaizen improvements based on the process gaps identified
§ Establishment of a corporate requirements and guidelines for process definition, documentation in work instructions for the process mapping software, maintenance and feedback
§ Set-up a Process Confirmation and Surveillance Team to perform regular check on the process compliance against the approved maintenance data or work instruction. A workflow or audit management system shall be implemented to monitor and close all arising action item or improvements from these activities.

A Section Manager is a Management role that will requires you to lead and be accountable for the overall performance of your team. This is a transitional phase from an individual contributor to a leader and you should embrace these changes in open arms and be motivated to challenge yourself to deal with a shift in responsibilities, higher stress level and manpower planning & conflicts. Additionally, you will face a different set of changes such as a steep learning curve to understand more processes within a short span of time.
Positive Mindset and Good Problem Solving competencies
As a Section Manager overseeing the broad but complex scope of tool design & fabrication, calibration, MSA and measurement system in the organization, you are desired to possess a positive & “never give up” mindset in order to meet & overcome the day-to-day operational issues associated with our tool and measurement. You should also be equipped with good problem solving ability to tackle the problem in a systemic and data driver manner while always adopting a practical but “think out of the box” approach to resolve all issues faced.
Meticulous and with Critical Thinking
As a leader of the section overseeing the process mapping and confirmation / surveillance activities, you needs to be meticulous and attentive to details to ensure all process maps are complete and correctly integrated into the whole repair & business process ecosystem. It is also essential that you possess critical thinking to identify the relationship, risk and inter-dependency between processes and how it affect the stakeholders and company, as a whole.
