About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven leader to join us as a Senior Public Relations Manager, with a strong emphasis on Business Development. In this role, you will support the Managing Director in Malaysia and lead a dynamic team of PR consultants while driving client growth and retention through strategic business development efforts.
What A Day Looks Like @ Elliot & Co.:
- Lead and oversee the Public Relations team with a strong focus on expanding client accounts and securing new business.
- Take charge of the strategic planning and execution of pitching processes and presentations to prospective and existing clients, driving successful business acquisition and retention.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to promote renewals, contract upgrades, and long-term engagements.
- Spearhead initiatives to grow the agency’s portfolio, both by winning new clients and by expanding existing relationships.
- Develop and implement strategic processes to improve team workflows, with an emphasis on driving business growth and optimizing resource allocation.
- Ensure efficient and transparent communication among team members and stakeholders, with a focus on aligning business development goals.
- Lead the team in executing PR campaigns that not only meet but exceed client expectations, ensuring satisfaction that leads to long-term client partnerships.
- Manage key accounts to ensure timely delivery and high levels of client satisfaction, promoting further business opportunities.
- Oversee and facilitate client meetings, ensuring all projects are aligned with business objectives and fostering new opportunities for business expansion.
- Provide training and support to team members, ensuring they are equipped to contribute to business growth and client relationship management.
- Monitor key performance metrics for all consultants, focusing on client retention, growth, and satisfaction.
- Handle grievances and any staff-related issues while maintaining a performance-driven team culture that supports business growth.
Requirements:
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of proven experience in Public Relations, with a strong track record in business development, particularly in Lifestyle / Tech accounts.
- Experienced in leading a team and managing cross-functional organizational growth.
- Expertise in client pitching, retainer account management, and securing new business opportunities.
- A deep understanding of integrated marketing communications and its role in driving business growth.
- Proven ability to nurture and grow client relationships, with a focus on retention, upselling, and account expansion.
- Significant experience in creating and presenting pitching decks and proposals to win new clients.
- Well-versed in the media landscape in Malaysia and Singapore.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on driving team performance and business development goals.
- Able to handle confidentiality and sensitivity regarding client information.
