Job Purpose
- Responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing client with Network as a Service (NaaS) solution offering.
- Create business solutions and innovation, particularly in the areas of tenancy diversity and new business horizontals, including but not limited to Network as a Service (NaaS), Edge Computing Infrastructure, and private network solutions offering.
- Selling innovative propositions to government entities and enterprise customers, enhancing our market presence and contributing to the company's growth and strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
New Product Development
- Expand the development of next generation solution horizontals, including (but not limited to) Network as a Service (NaaS), Edge Computing Infrastructure, and private network solutions as adjacent services to EDOTCO's core tower business.
- Drive the commercialization of new products, transforming them into sustainable revenue streams.
- Craft compelling value propositions and unique sales points for EDOTCO's next-gen products within the industry.
New Business Acquisition
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within telecommunications and other relevant verticals.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor movements, and customer demands.
- Formulate and execute effective sales strategies to secure new clients and projects.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including telecom operators, infrastructure providers, enterprise, commercial and government agencies.
- Attend key industry conferences and forums to stay updated on market trends and new technologies.
Revenue Generation
- Consistently achieve and surpass sales targets through effective deal negotiation and closure.
- Develop competitive yet profitable pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and service delivery.
Market Expansion
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for expanding and diversifying service offerings.
- Assess market demand and validate customer interest through Key Account Managers in operating regions.
- Lead initiatives to grow and scale EDOTCO’s next-generation products and services across all markets.
Contract Negotiation
- Lead the negotiation of contracts, securing favorable terms and conditions for EDOTCO.
- Coordinate closely with legal and finance teams to finalize and execute agreements.
Reporting & Resource Management
- Provide monthly sales progress reports and updates on key deal pursuits.
- Identify and request additional resources and support to ensure the success of key initiatives.
Qualification, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or product management, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sectors.
- Proven track record in developing and commercializing new products and services, especially in emerging technologies such as NaaS, RAN, WiFi, Private Network and edge computing.
- Experience in contract negotiation and managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and associated regulatory environments.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify and capitalize on market trends, competitive landscape, anticipate customer needs, and develop innovative solutions.
- Sales & Negotiation: Excellent skills in sales strategy development, client acquisition, and deal negotiation, with a focus on closing high-value deals.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in market research, data analysis, and financial modeling to support business decision-making.
- Key Deal Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Team Collaboration: Effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including technology, legal, commercial, and regulatory departments.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing market environment and evolving business needs.
- Telecommunications Industry: In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications sector, including emerging technologies like NaaS, Private Network and edge computing.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of product development processes, from ideation to commercialization, with an emphasis on sustainability and lifecycle management.
