The Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH), formerly known as the Malaysian Society for Industrial Safety, is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization established in 1971. The Society is dedicated to promoting occupational safety and health in Malaysia, with the Honourable Minister for Human Resources Malaysia as its esteemed Patron.
DESIGNATION: EXECUTIVE
DEPARTMENT: ACCOUNT AND FINANCE
REPORT TO: HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Accounting Functions
- Journal Entries: Prepare and record accurate journal entries.
- Balance Sheet and Ledger Maintenance: Maintain balance sheet schedules, ledgers, and account reconciliations.
- Bank Statements: Collect and produce bank statements regularly.
2. Monthly Closings
- Financial Closings: Assist in the monthly financial closing process.
- Accounting Services: Support the accurate and timely completion of all accounting services.
3. Financial Reporting
- Reports Preparation: Assist in preparing accounting reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets for MSOSH and MSOSH Academy.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Invoices and Payments: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile invoices and payments with financial records.
5. Support to Management
- Financial Data: Provide necessary data and analysis to the Head of Department of Finance and General Manager as required.
- Administrative Support: Assist in administrative duties related to finance and accounting.
6. Compliance and Audits
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
