Title: Concentrated Solar Spectrum Splitting for Photovoltaic-Photochemical Water
Splitting
In the pursuit of realizing greener water splitting, unassisted photoelectrochemical (PEC) system (able to operate fully with solar energy) needs to be supported by PV. Spectral beam splitting is useful in a system that takes in concentrated solar energy to PV-PEC because of the difference in the favour of wavelength and temperature of individual concentrator PV and PEC. In this project, the incorporation of beam splitting and its optimisation will be studied in the new PV-PEC system.
Research focus: optics
Benefits:
100% tuition fee waiver
RM2,850 monthly stipend for 42 months
Skills to apply: optics, measurement, data analysis
For more eligibility: (https://www.monash.edu.my/study/postgraduate-and-research/engineering/phd#tabs__2621256-05)
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
2. Applicants must have met the minimum academic requirement first class Honours (CGPA of at least 3.67) or equivalent (second upper with the fulfilment of additional criteria).
