Our client is an established local EPCC company in the solar industry and they are currently looking out for a Project Manager for their upcoming LSS projects in the Northern area of Malaysia.

About The Job

  • Oversee the management, coordination, execution, control, and completion of specific projects.
  • Assemble and lead project staff, providing guidance and support to the project team.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Manage the allocation of project resources, including labor and materials, to optimize project profitability.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines and schedules.
  • Continuously monitor and provide updates on project progress to management.
  • Present reports outlining project status, challenges, and proposed solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the project team.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor changes to contracts, as well as any deviations or variations.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations on project progress.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze project issues, and troubleshoot problem areas.

*This is a 6 days work week position.

  • The candidate must hold at least a Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical) or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience is in the solar industry is required for this position.
  • Required skills include project management, coordination, and supervisory abilities.
  • Proficient in project scheduling concepts, techniques, and software like MS Project; experience with Primavera P6 is an advantage.
  • Proficient in office productivity tools, particularly the MS Office suite, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed across Malaysia.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines is essential.
