Position: Assistant Product Manager (Marketing)

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development: Collaborating with the R&D and operations teams to conceptualize and create new products or improve existing ones. This involves conducting market research, understanding consumer needs and preferences, and analyzing competitors' products.

Brand Marketing, Brand Plan, Launches & Campaigns:

  • Driving brand marketing plans and campaigns to ensure brand/product range go-to-market strategies are successfully executed, working across internal departments and external agencies with guidance from the GPM.
  • Implementing and supporting product launches, which may involve coordinating with various departments and agencies such as sales, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure a successful introduction of the product to the market.
  • Participate actively in the annual brand plan

Budget Management: Assisting in developing and managing budgets related to product development, marketing, and other associated activities.

Pricing Strategy: Assisting in setting competitive pricing for the products based on market research, production costs, and profit margins.

Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and potential areas for product improvement or expansion.

Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborating with various departments such as sales, media, research and development, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure seamless product development and campaign execution.

Data Analysis: Analyzing sales data, customer feedback, and market research to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve product performance.

Agencies and Vendor Management: Engaging with creative agencies, media agencies, external suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to ensure timely and effective collaboration.

Sales and Promoter Team Support: Providing sales and promoter teams with the necessary product knowledge, training, and marketing materials to effectively promote and sell the products.

Ad Hoc Requests: Supporting the brand manager with any additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Self-starter with an interest in innovation and marketing/branding, ability to multitask, proficiency in operations/execution tasks, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Collaboration Spirit and Positive Attitude – Hungry to win spirit, entrepreneurship keenness
  • Able to understand English & Malay language. Knowledge of Chinese (written and spoken) is an added advantage.
  • Agency Liaison – Ability to liaise and drive projects with multiple agencies (media, creative, research, advertising), ensuring on-ground activation of all events/campaigns by the plan.
  • Good Written and Oral Communication – briefing agencies to sell to key stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis – Ability to draw insights from data.
  • Exposure to FMCG marketing/brand departments/teams is an added advantage.
  • Able to collaborate with brand teams, external agencies, and cross-functional departments to achieve set tasks, KPIs and flexible/ willing to learn on the job.
  • Able to work hand-in-hand with the brand team mates to support brand activities, campaigns, and operational follow-up to ensure execution outcome in a smooth, successful manner.

Experience:

  • Degree holder graduate.
  • 2.5 - 3 years of brand/marketing exposure marketer preferably with study majors in Marketing / Business Development/ Digital Marketing / E-commerce with any experience in Branding & Marketing
  • Basic Computer/ Microsoft Skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, good understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram, Digital marketing would be added advantage.
  • Desirable traits – must be approachable, open to learning, organized, teamwork spirit, and be flexible.
