Job Summary:

The Consumer Research Assistant will support the Consumer Research team in conducting research, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to help drive business decisions. This role involves assisting in the collection and processing of consumer and market data, preparing reports, and collaborating with various departments to ensure data accuracy and relevance. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibility:

To report and work closely with Consumer Research Manager in all research projects and market data analysis.

  • Data Collection & Analysis
    • Assist to compile, up-date, and analyze Nielsen, Kantar and other market data on monthly basis and ad-hoc request by other stakeholders.
    • Support in performing data tracking for competitor benchmark using available tools and datasets.
    • Gather data from primary and secondary sources including Euromonitor, and Mintel.
    • Help process and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify key trends, patterns, and insights.

    2. Research

    • Assist in conducting market and consumer research using various methodologies such as surveys, focus groups, and desk research.
    • Support and follow up in liaising with agency on any queries or issues related to data and provide feedback to the acquired team.
    • Support in tracking project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of research initiatives.
    • Assist in preparing and conducting internal research studies as and when required. The work scope includes questionnaire design, recruitment, data collection and reporting

    3. To assist Team Lead on other/special task or assignments that may arise in the course of work.

    Skills & Qualification:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
    • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or related fields (internship experience can be considered). Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI). Familiarity with research tools like SPSS and Nielsen/Kantar.
    • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data handling and reporting.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating reports and presentations.
    • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, various stakeholders and external partners.

    Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
