Key Job Responsibilities :-
- Renders professional medical care to any patient that need urgent medical care in the paediatric wards in accordance with the Hospital’s established guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Initiates prompt referral to the Medical Specialist as and when required and after checking the patient’s condition.
- Assists the Medical Specialist when required in the immediate treatment and management of the patient in the wards.
- Performs phlebotomy and insertion of intravenous lines for the in-patients when required.
- Provides medical support when needed and do internal referrals if required as per the specialist’s orders.
- Follow duties according to a prepared roster and to do shift duties including night duties.
- Attend meetings when are called to do so.
- Adheres to Hospital Administrative and Medical Policies and Procedures.
- Responds to all Code Blue calls and acts as the Primary medical person until relieved by a Medical Specialist or the Primary Physician.
- Keep up to date in field of medicine through current literature, attendance at workshops, seminars and membership in professional organizations.
- Be responsible for attaining one’s own Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points.
- Perform minor surgical procedures like toilet and suture, catheterization, incision and drainage in the appropriate cases.
- Educate patients if necessary in the management of simple medical conditions.
Job Requirements:-
- Possess basic Medical Degree from a recognized university and registered with MMA
- Possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate with Subang Jaya Medical Centre as the place of practice.
- Possess a personal and valid Medical Indemnity Scheme insurance which is renewed annually.
- Possess valid certificates for BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP. These should be renewed every 2 years.
- Possess good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum five (5) years working experience.
