Application Engineer (Daikin Solutions- BMS)

Key Accountabilities

• Leading the Deployment of Application for Building Management System
• Lead technical discussion and clarification with the customer acting as key contact person for
• Take active part in meetings with the customer. Prepare and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with the customer.
• Perform and get customer approval on basic and detailed design of integrated solutions in line with the contract (technical, time & performance requirements) and leveraging Daikin portfolio of products and systems, maximize project profitability and manage technical risk.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with global teams and complying to global standards.
• Produce engineering outputs such as System architecture, sub-systems interfacing points, detailed point schedules, control panel drawings, equipment and control valve schedules, description of operations, database generation, graphics development, system hardware and software configuration and programming, etc. Proposal of HVAC and BMS controls strategies in various application.
• Master all technical aspects of the Project: design, integration, testing, FAT, installation, commissioning, warranty. Validate technical choices compliance with the design (based on Technical Design Process).
• Manage stakeholders involved in the execution
• Any adhoc duties as assigned by Manager.

Technical Competencies

• Understanding of HVAC, Building Automation, Energy Management, or other control systems.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric, Niagara Framework and other Platforms, Building Automation & Analytics Technologies.
• Proficiency in creating and editing Mechanical and Electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.
• Programming for Electronic DDC control systems / PLC Systems using Functional Block Diagrams.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and integration to 3rd party systems and ability to modify BMS strategies and experience of front-end graphics
• Knowledge of instrumentation sensors and field communication protocols, e.g Modbus, BACnet etc.
• Ability to understand and modify electrical diagrams and drawings.
• TCP/IP Networking and protocols
• Design the UI/UX
• Any knowledge on script programming ie Java, C++, Python etc

Requirements

• Automation Industry Experience (Tridium Niagara or Schneider Electric Preferred)
• Degree qualified (Engineering or related discipline) preferred
• 5+ years working in successful solutions focused teams
• Proven Impact on technical solution support
