Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and proactive Accounts Assistant (AP or AR) to manage both our accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, manage customer and vendor relationships, and assist in maintaining financial records. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generate and send out invoices to clients promptly.
  • Monitor and ensure timely collection of receivables, following up on overdue accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer accounts and records.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present regular accounts receivable reports to management.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including AR reconciliations and reporting.

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process and verify vendor invoices promptly.
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor accounts and records.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present regular accounts payable reports to management.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role, with a focus on both accounts payable or accounts receivable.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and AP/AR processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (autocount) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial information.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and growing company.
