The Role

We are seeking a proactive HR manager to build and lead the HR team, collaborating closely with our C Suite and managers to develop and implement strategies for the global expansion of AniLive. Your role will foster an environment where team members excel and actively contribute towards fulfilling our mission. You will be responsible for:

Strategy Planning

  • Collaborating with the CEO, CTO, CCO, and each manager to align HR strategies with the AniLive mission and objectives
  • Supporting managers proactively to achieve OKRs
  • Creating a strategy for how to scale the organization within a tech startup

HR Team Establishment

  • Setting up adequate internal flows related to HR tasks
  • Managing members of the HR team

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Creating and refining the overall recruitment strategy and supporting recruiting efforts within the HR team as needed
  • Overseeing the onboarding process to ensure new members integrate well into the company

Culture Building and Employee Relations

  • Promoting a positive and inclusive company culture and system
  • Organizing team-building activities and fostering member engagement
  • Providing constant manager training, coaching, and enablement

Ideal Profile

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in an HR leadership role, with significant experience working for fast-paced tech startups.
  • Prior experience building an HR division from scratch would be advantageous.
  • You have a proven track record of building organizational structure, fostering a positive workplace culture, and establishing recruitment KPIs and best practices, for growth-stage tech startup(s).
  • A passion for Anime, Manga, and VTubing, or a keen interest in working in this industry is required.
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese is required to work with our stakeholders and teams in Japan and globally.
  • You can represent AniLive at networking events and are interested in diving deeper into the otaku culture
  • You thrive working in a remote and multicultural working environment.
