Staff Nurse (Confinement Center)

Job Overview:

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated staff nurses to join our team at KLC Postnatal Care Center. This role is open to fresh graduates, as well as experienced nurses who are eager to contribute their skills in a nurturing environment for postnatal care. You will be responsible for providing exceptional care to mothers and their newborns, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being during their stay.

Requirements:

• Language Proficiency:
  • English: Able to speak and write fluently
  • Malay: Able to speak and write fluently
  • Mandarin (optional): basic proficiency in speaking and writing
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Nursing (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Nursing License: Valid Malaysian Nursing License (REQUIRED)
• Flexibility: Willingness to work on shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Compassionate Care: A patient-centered approach and ability to work with postnatal mothers and newborns
• Team Player: Able to work collaboratively with other staff members and departments

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Nursery Care:

• Assist with the care of postnatal mothers and newborns, including feeding, diaper changes, and general hygiene
• Perform vital signs monitoring and report any concerns to senior staff
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed
• Assist in breastfeeding support and guidance for new mothers

Client Support:

• Greet and assist clients during check-in and check-out, providing a welcoming atmosphere
• Offer guidance and support to new mothers, answering any queries or concerns
• Educate mothers on postnatal care, including self-care and newborn care tips

Administrative Duties:

• Maintain and update mother and newborn medical records accurately
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols, including hygiene standards
• Prepare and submit daily reports on mother and baby progress and care

Collaboration:

• Work closely with doctors, Head Nurse, management, and other staff to provide comprehensive care
• Coordinate with cleaning and maintenance teams to maintain a clean and safe environment

Skills & Qualifications:

• Patient Care Skills: Ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care to mothers and newborns
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication in Mandarin, English, and Malay
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-Solving: Capable of addressing and resolving any issues that may arise during client care
• Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively and support fellow staff members
