Director of MICE (Hotel)

Job Description

• Implement sales strategies and sales action plans related to current market areas as outlined in the marketing plan for MICE segmentation.
• Plan and execute the hotels business strategies effectively then set goals and determine action plans to the teams to meet the business goals.
• Update action plans and financial objectives according to time frame given.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including corporate clients, event planners, and industry stakeholders. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, trade shows, etc. to create loyalty and drive for repetitive business.
• Represent the organization at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote MICE services and build industry connections.
• Targeting key accounts potential for the company.
• Monitoring competitors' activities and offerings in MICE industry to identify opportunities.
• Provide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure the teams maximize the revenue.
• Conducts sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by potential clients.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of sales skills of the sales person from time to time.
• Maintaining good relationship with hotels service team to drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years working experience in Sales (MICE) hotel or relevant industry.
• Possess existing network and ability to build strong relationships with clients.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, oral and written.
• Able to react fast and strong problem solving skills.
• Able to travel and posses own transport.
