The Academic Administrator supports the academic operations of the institution by managing administrative tasks, supporting the head of academic, coordinating with academic staff, and ensuring the smooth functioning of academic processes. This role requires excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills to support faculty, parents, students, and the overall academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to academic head and academic staff, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining records.
  • Act as the main point of contact for academic inquiries from parents, students and staff.
  • Use academic management systems to process data and generate reports.
  • Prepare reports on academic activities, student performance, and administrative issues for management review.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all academic operations including student records and database, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and complies with data protection regulations.
  • Support the implementation of academic policies and ensure adherence to institutional guidelines.
  • Communicate academic policies, procedures, and important dates to parents, students and faculty.
  • Coordinate with other academic staff and event organisers to organise events, workshops, and meetings.
  • Assist in the coordination of student registration, course selection, and scheduling.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of feedback from parents, students and faculty to support continuous improvement of academic services.
  • Participate in reviews to maintain high standards of academic administration.
  • Manage academic resources.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students in using academic software and online platforms.
  • To assist in other areas required by the school when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational institution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with academic management systems (eg. SIS, LMS).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in managing data and records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to administrative challenges.
  • Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges in a fast-paced academic environment.
