ROLE OBJECTIVES

As the Assistant Manager for Accounts Receivable and Credit Control, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial processes and credit management within our organization.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Overseeing Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Functions:

  • Lead and manage the Branch Accounting Department (BACD).
  • Supervise a team, demonstrating strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Credit Management:

  • Monitor credit exposure and minimize the risk of bad debts.
  • Exercise judgment in determining credit limits for dealers/customers.
  • Evaluate the financial and credit history of dealers/customers.

AR Management:

  • Ensure timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components.
  • Identify and address problem accounts, facilitating efficient collection.

Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures related to Accounts Receivable.

Task Management:

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively.

Team Leadership:

  • Motivate and manage the Accounts Receivable team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide quick decision-making support for both yourself and junior team members.

Approval and Budgeting:

  • Approve documents related to the Branch Accounting Department.
  • Contribute to yearly budget preparation and monthly forecasting.
  • Manage branch operation-related matters, including budget control and performance analysis reviews.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Lead with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a lead capacity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in credit management and accounts receivable functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial evaluation and credit history assessment for dealers/customers.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and the ability to ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Efficient multitasking and project management capabilities to prioritize and manage various tasks effectively.
  • Proven experience in approving documents related to the Branch Accounting Department.
  • Proficiency in budget preparation, monthly forecasting, and performance analysis reviews.
