MECHANIC

Requirement: o Fluency in Vietnamese is required. o Experience in Oil field equipment and spare parts. o Understand rig daily operation. The Mechanic is responsible for assisting the Chief Mechanic in operational integrity, maintenance (preventive maintenance), Installation and removal of mechanical systems/ components repair and documentation of the offshore unit's system, BOP systems, pipe handling system, rotary components, pumps, mud conditioning equipment, deck equipment such as winches, air hoists and cranes, and auxiliary equipment such as compressors, pumps and water systems, piping, fittings, valves and Emergency preparedness equipment. The ultimate objective of this position is to ensure that all mechanical systems remain operative throughout the operation and comply with safety, regulatory body, standards and contract requirements. Maintain the operational integrity, maintenance (preventive maintenance), Installation and removal of mechanical systems/components, repair and documentation of all auxiliary and support equipment including Drawworks; Crown and Traveling Blocks Assembly ; Top Drive System; Wire Line Units; Pipe; BOP Control System; Mud Pumps. Maintain the operational integrity, maintenance (preventive maintenance), Installation and removal of mechanical systems and components, repair and documentation of the deck systems. Maintain the operational integrity, maintenance (preventive maintenance), Installation and removal of mechanical systems/components, repair and documentation of all auxiliary and support equipment. Order parts which will be necessary for the maintenance, service and the repair of all equipment. Complete all required maintenance reports and logs. Make use of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) parts catalogues as necessary to identify necessary parts and equipment. Raise the necessary work orders (WO) and purchase orders (PO) for ordering the parts and equipment through the Preventative Maintenance System. In coordination with the OIM and Chief Mechanic will in a calm and decisive manner: Knows and correctly executes Emergency assignments in accordance with the Station Bill and as directed. Knows the Rig abandonment procedures and is prepared to act quickly and decisively under the direction of the OIM, Chief Mechanic and Rig Supervisors. Knows the location and the use of the alarm systems in case of a fire or Emergency. Renders assistance within his personal qualifications in case of personal injury and reports any knowledge of the injury to the OIM, Chief Mechanic and Rig Supervisors. In the case of any equipment damage, this will be reported to the OIM and Rig Supervisors immediately. Assist as directed by the OIM, Chief Mechanic and Rig Supervisors.
