SENIOR MANAGER , PROJECT (ELECTRONICS)

JOB SUMMARY:

Contribute to the Manufacturing Design and Engineering Organization programs as a Project Manager and Technical Lead in the electronics development of new products. Specifically, the design and development of various electronic, electromechanical and electro-optical systems for customers. Work cross functionally with other development groups.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform technical analysis of customer RFP/RFQ for new product design requirements and ensure all requirements are captured;
• Define HW Architecture and Block Diagram for Electro-Mechanical and Electronics System;
• Work with cross-functional lead (ME, FW/SW) to design and integrate the electronics requirements to meet product performance, cost and schedule;
• Set up project requirements, participate in design review, plan research and development (R&D) development phases, plan iterations (identify work packages and estimate efforts, plan resources, plan costs and schedule), manage project risks;
• Manage project scope of works and deliverables and lead EE team and collaborate with design partner to ensure successful delivery to customer requirements;
• Mentor and guide engineers in the sub-system design and develop their design and troubleshooting competency. Setup the EE design tool chain and work bench for design verification/validation;
• Accountable for the product performance and acceptance by customer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Masters/Bachelor Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in end to end product development capacity in consumer/industrial/electro-mechanical products/instrumentation products;
• Expert in product life cycle (PLC) development processes and management of product from design to NPI to production;
• Experience in managing EE teams and their work performance;
• Knowledge in ARM based SOC/MCU architecture from Major Silicon supplier (NXP, STM, Microchip, Analog Devices, Renases and etc.), high speed IO bus protocols (such as DDR3/4, PCI-e, USB, Serial and etc.), wireless modules (BT/WIFI/Low Power Wireless), high speed hardware design, analog sub-system, power management, low power design with battery, embedded applications;
• Proficiency with EE design tools – Altium Designer/Allegro_Orcad, simulation tools – Analog Spice simulation tools and etc., measurement and analysis tools for verification and troubleshooting;
• Demonstrated knowledge in analyzing the risks and benefits in development of different products;
• Ability to analyze complex problem and provide options with recommended solutions;
• Demonstrated experience working with customers and design partner to meet customer goals;
• Driven and passionate leadership in leading and coaching the R&D Engineers and the team members;
• Familiar with R&D development tools and flow for EE design ecosystem.
