Job Summary:
We are a boutique audit firm based in Klang and we are currently serving a portfolio of around 150 clients. We are on fast-track of growing our business. We are seeking an experienced Senior External Audit Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will lead external audit engagements, manage audit teams, and deliver high-quality audit services to clients. The Senior External Audit Executive will also be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the growth and development of the external audit practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead external audit engagements, including planning, executing, and delivering high-quality audit services to clients
- Manage and mentor audit teams, providing guidance and oversight to ensure timely and effective completion of audits
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to provide additional services and grow existing relationships
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and development of the external audit practice
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and auditing standards, applying this knowledge to audit engagements
- Collaborate with other teams, such as tax and advisory, to provide comprehensive services to clients
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of clients' businesses, industries, and risk profiles
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients, providing value-added insights and guidance
- Contribute to the development and implementation of audit methodologies, tools, and procedures
- Meet or exceed performance targets, including budget, revenue growth, and client satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACA)
- Minimum 3-4 years of external audit experience, with a focus on leading audit engagements and managing teams
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and industry developments
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
