Roles, Responsibilities, and Job Expectations: - Operate milling machines, flexible manufacturing systems (Fastems), and deburring stations to ensure timely delivery of machined products at the required quality and reasonable cost. - Actively participate in continuous improvement processes and maintain 6S standards in the work environment to enhance productivity and safety. - Collaborate with the CAD/CAM team to set up and run first parts for new products. - Monitor ongoing production to ensure quality control and make necessary tool offset adjustments. - Perform scheduled maintenance and calibration on machines, equipment, gauges, cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures. - Properly set up and operate milling machines, cutting tools, jigs/fixtures, and parts with correct programs and parameters for milling, deburring, and gauging processes. - Follow procedures and work instructions, including loading/unloading tasks. - Perform visual inspections and in-process buyoffs during loading and unloading as per Work Instructions. - Read and interpret part drawings and CMM reports. - Report to and support the supervisor in coordinating and communicating issues related to quality, part/component availability, and critical delivery deadlines. - Support daily tasks assigned by superiors. - Conduct equipment buyoffs and perform maintenance as per checklists and schedules. - Maintain jigs and fixtures, reporting wear and tear or broken components. - Conduct autonomous maintenance on machines, including: - Measuring and refilling coolant pH and concentration. - Refilling hydraulic and spindle oil. - Clearing and maintaining chip tanks. Key Competencies and Skills: - Preferably 5+ years of experience in CNC milling. - Diploma in Sciences/Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or SPM/SKM/Certificate in Sciences/Engineering with 3-5 years of CNC machining experience. - Experience with tool management, such as tool life monitoring and tool presetting. - Proficient in using measuring equipment (e.g., gauges, calipers, micrometers). - Advanced knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and the ability to interpret part drawing requirements. - Strong awareness of quality control standards. - Teamwork and reliability, with a collaborative mindset. 3. Special Skills (Certifications): - Preferably certified with PSDC or JMTI Level 2~3.
