We have an exciting senior role and inviting professional candidates who have amassed a track record of delivering large-scale industrial construction projects locally or overseas. You must have a hands-on industrial project management skills handling a company with large workforce, managing key stakeholders including external clients, business driven with an engineering background. You must be a qualified Civil or M&E Engineer with strong technical + project management + business acumen in running operations. Ideally, proven operational experiences handling complex challenging industrial setup. If you do have turnkey industrial projects, that would be ideal.

Work Place: Must be able to base in Bintulu, Sarawak for work.

What We Need From You in terms of expectations/responsibilities :-

  • As a Chief Operation Officer, you will be responsible for the company’s P&L, optimising operational efficiency, implementing effective systems, processes and procedures so that the Company can achieve its Mission of providing the most professional 360 support on setting up manufacturing plants in South East Asia.
  • Partner with CEO to grow the business from Key Accounts and Clients ensuring the Company achieve its Sales and Revenue.
  • Build a harmonic work culture, high performance teams and an engaged workforce. Build and maintain relationships with shareholders, customers and authorities.
  • Analyse the regional market landscape, identify business opportunities to drive sales and revenue, and expand market shares in the home appliances industry or consumer electronics sector.
  • Direct the company in keeping with the vision outlined for the company by the Board of Directors. Create, communicate and implement the organization’s vision, mission and overall direction. Leading the development and implementation of the overall organization’s strategy.
  • Develop & implement top-level strategies, making major corporate decisions, and manage the overall operations and resources. Lead, guide, direct and evaluate the work of other executive leaders including directors and managers, depending on the organization’s reporting structure. Ensure certain the strategic direction set is clearly communicated from top to bottom in order to achieve the organization’s goal.
  • Work closely with CFO to prepare annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potential investments, and advise the Board of Directors with regard to investment risk and return.
  • Ensure full Company’s adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance so as not to put the Company at any risks.
  • Participate in the development of corporate plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Focus Area : Company’s Operational and Financial Excellence, Company Strategic Direction and Growth, Business Growth and Retention, Technology Improvement Implementation and Road Map

Ideally You Must Have :-

  • A Bachelor or Master’s Degree preferably in Civil or M&E Engineering.
  • A professional certification in Project Management (PMP) especially in EPCC and Industrial Construction areas.
  • Has at least 20 years’ experience in leading and managing construction of manufacturing plants, EPCC related projects, oil and gas projects/plants management, turnkey projects would be ideal.
  • Solid experiences in business operations and processes, optimising operational efficiency, resources management effectively, ability to implement best practices including technology to drive productivity and cost effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge and awareness on M&E Statutory and Regulatory Laws
  • Has a track record of managing medium size above business entity with large workforce. Professional, proven leadership, strategic and management experiences.
  • Proven track record in managing P&L of a business; Possess strong business and financial acumen with ability to produce business plans.
  • Strategic thinker with great communication, presentation, organizational & leadership skills.
  • Has great stakeholder management skills; open-minder, high adaptability with superb operational expertise.
  • Leader with strong communication skills, detailed-driven.
  • Must have led business operations with a minimum 800 workforce and above.
