SUMMARY OF JOB
As a Tendering Engineer the primary mission on this role is to support of our Pre-Sales Managers in preparation of assigned bid-to-bid and bid-to-buy proposals, from tender reading to presentation to a customer including technical design and pricing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of technical and commercial offers preparation in the project quoting tool (customized commercial software solution) with the aim to design the most optimal offer for both customer and Gutor.
- Participate in quotation tool development including communication with main stakeholders from IT department and Tendering team.
- Analysis of technical and commercial requirements from customer and preparation of required solution including communication with clients for any clarifications.
- Offer cost evaluation and search for best technical and commercial alternatives.
- Obtain assistance from other departments (Engineering, Contract management,
- Cost mapping and estimating, Finance department, Project management and
- Customer Service) as required to prepare the proposal.
- Define and analyze outcome of test scenarios autonomously and with other departments.
- Prepare initial assessment of the technical, financial, schedule or any other unusual risks associated with a proposal.
- Ensure propose also abide by company solution, legal and financial guidelines
- Maintain knowledge of approved company vendors, estimating methods as well as project execution procedures.
- Obtain feedback from projects for “lessons learned” to incorporate in future proposals.
- Prepare and lead the proposal turnover meeting with supporting documentation.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED
- Electrical engineering degree (Power Electronics, Electrotechnics)
- Initial work experience in electrical engineering / maintenance / commissioning and/or troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (other languages as Hindi will be a plus).
- Knowledge of power electronics, transformers, and capacitors as well as hazards and risks related to electricity.
- Well-developed computer skills and MS Office.

- Ability to work in a timely manner in order to stick to work schedule.
- UPS and Battery knowledge are an advantage.
