Job Summary: Join the forefront of the RE movement with MSR Green Energy, a pioneering company dedicated to powering the future with sustainable and clean energy solutions. We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer with a passion for renewable energy and a minimum of three (3) years of experience to join us on an 24-month contract basis. The role will be site-based in Sabah and involves a willingness to travel interstate. This role is crucial in supporting the electrical components of our RE projects, from the initial design and planning stages to implementation and maintenance, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, and execution of RE projects, ensuring compliance with all technical specifications and regulatory standards
  • Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Help manage on-site electrical activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Participate in thorough inspections and quality control assessments to guarantee the safety and effectiveness of electrical installations
  • Contribute to a culture of safety by adhering to electrical safety protocols and best practices on-site
  • Assist in the allocation of electrical materials, labour, and equipment to maximise productivity and minimise costs
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including team members, contractors, and senior management, to ensure smooth operation and timely resolution of issues
  • Support the preparation of detailed progress reports, highlighting challenges, achievements, and updates on the electrical aspects of projects
  • Identify potential electrical issues and collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement effective solutions

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical engineering, with exposure to solar energy projects or other renewable energy initiatives being advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a readiness to learn and support various project tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards in all project activities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite
