Assistant Manager, Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for the process of identifying, attracting and hiring talent to fulfill the staffing needs of BERNAS. This involves workforce planning, analyzing and forecasting BERNAS's current and future staffing needs to ensure that the right talent is placed in the right time through effective talent sourcing methods, ultimately leading to a sustainable organizational workforce.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Responsible to ensure efficient fulfillment of the department's staffing requirement

  • By reviewing and ensuring the staff requisition aligned with approved manpower planning, Job Description & Organization Structure
  • By securing approval for staff Requisition from management

2) Responsible for the effectiveness of the sourcing platform

  • By utilizing the right recruitment platform based on the Job Grade/Profile request
  • By advertising the vacancy using the most effective recruitment platform such as Recruitment Agency, Online recruitment Platform, Career Fair and others

3) Responsible for screening process of qualified talent pool based on job criteria

  • By identifying the potential talent for shortlisting
  • By aligning the right talent to fit requested vacancies

4) Responsible to coordinate and conduct the interview session with the Respective Business Unit

  • By ensuring to select the right panel interviewer
  • By facilitating communication and coordinating interview arrangements with shortlisted talents
  • By conducting the interview session in effective manners

5) Responsible to ensure effective pre-employment process for hiring the right candidates

  • By gathering feedback from panel interviews and evaluate candidate performance
  • By conducting background checks for final candidates to verify qualifications and experience
  • By recommending attractive package and getting management approval
  • By extending job offers to selected candidates including negotiation if necessary
  • By arranging compulsory hiring documentations and necessary arrangement upon job acceptance

6) Collaborating with respective departments for a smooth onboarding process

  • By collaborating with Learning & Talent Development Department and hiring managers to ensure the seamless implementation of onboarding programs, fostering a positive experience for new hires

7) Responsible for managing employee retention process

  • By liaising with Business Unit in monitoring employee probationary period and to process confirmation of employment within the timeframe
  • By liaising with Business Unit in processing staff mobility request upon Management approval
  • By Liaising with respective stakeholders in coordinating employee resignation process

Job Requirements:

1) Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

2) Years of Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of HR Practitioner experience inTalent Acquisition & Manpower Planning

3) Functional/Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Employment laws and regulations i.e. Employment Act, Industrial relations Act, Trade Union Act, EPF Act & SOCSO Act
  • Proven experience in a talent acquisition role, with track record of successful recruitment strategies
  • In-dept knowledge of recruitment process and best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends for decision-making
  • High literacy in MS Office
  • Good team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
