  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

Responsibility

  • To perform diamond grading and classification.
  • Examines gemstones and evaluate their ganuiness and quality.
  • Immerses stones in prescribed chemical solutions for defining specific gravities key properties of gemstones or substitutes, which indicate physical characteristics of stone for gem identification, quality determination and for appraisal.
  • Grades stones for color, perfection, and quality of cut.
  • Estimates wholesale retail value of gems, following pricing guides, market fluctuations, and various economic changes that affect distribution of precious stones.
  • Stock maintenance and perform monthly stock take.
  • Conduct product training to internal staff or external parties.

Requirement

  • Open for Fresh Graduates from any field. Qualification in any Gemological Studies are an added advantage.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in related field is preferable.
  • Must have a passion and interest in Gemstones Anatomy.
  • Knowledge in usage of equipment and chemicals are an added advantage.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English is added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong management skills in English, proficiency in local language is an added advantage.
  • Multiple vacancies available; from Assistant up to Senior Gemologists.
