We are looking for Assistant Financial Controller

Duties:

As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our hotel. Your attention to detail, financial expertise, and leadership skills will be vital in maintaining accurate financial records, facilitating efficient processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. Among the key responsibilities of this position:

  • Assist the Financial Controller in preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee all functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing.
  • Providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Assist in financial forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor departmental budgets.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to established deadlines.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support cost-saving initiatives and revenue enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, prepare and file tax returns, and liaise with external tax advisors when necessary.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial risks.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; ACCA, CPA or CA certification is a plus.
  • 4-5 years of progressive experience in a managerial position in finance or accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge or accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Time management; Meet deadlines.
