- Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engine manuals, OEM SPM’s, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to meet job specifications.
- Set up tooling, fixture and operate CNC Turning/Milling machines.
- Check and ensure work piece datum points are properly identified and located on the fixture or chuck.
- Align fixtures and cutting tools.
- Set specified rotation speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
- Machine part while monitoring cutting action of machine to detect excessive wear or malfunction.
- Use indicators, vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges to check work and verify conformance of finished part to specifications.
- Ensure all jobs are completed within the scheduled time.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Perform on machine dimension inspection as required.
- Perform TPM’S.
- Assist and interact with other department and engineering personnel during the course of duties.
- Able to perform simple programming and troubleshooting when problem arise.
- Report to management in the event of non-conformance of components.
- Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
- Report non-conformance of parts, paper work, equipment, tooling or materials to the immediate supervisor.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area such as 6S, sort, label, and store tooling/equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
