Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engine manuals, OEM SPM’s, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to meet job specifications.
Set up tooling, fixture and operate CNC Turning/Milling machines.
Check and ensure work piece datum points are properly identified and located on the fixture or chuck.
Align fixtures and cutting tools.
Set specified rotation speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
Machine part while monitoring cutting action of machine to detect excessive wear or malfunction.
Use indicators, vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges to check work and verify conformance of finished part to specifications.
Ensure all jobs are completed within the scheduled time.
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Perform on machine dimension inspection as required.
Perform TPM’S.
Assist and interact with other department and engineering personnel during the course of duties.
Able to perform simple programming and troubleshooting when problem arise.
Report to management in the event of non-conformance of components.
Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
Report non-conformance of parts, paper work, equipment, tooling or materials to the immediate supervisor.
Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area such as 6S, sort, label, and store tooling/equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
