PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

JOB DESCRIPTION Essential Function: Lead a team of manufacturing staff comprising supervisors, Techs, MAs and supporting staff in a shift. Responsible for resources planning and training of manufacturing staff to ensure meeting quality and output goals as set for the department. Ensure compliance to good manufacturing practices, complying to QMS and ensuring proper house-keeping and environmental control. Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for effectively meeting product quality, production output & OTD at an optimum cost. 2. Quality to be emphasized in every stage of operations and initiate appropriate action to resolve the issue with supporting staff. Goal to improve yield and reduce scraps. 3. Ensure shift operational performance with regards to cycle time, to achieve highest level of machine utilization and productivity. Deploy continuous improvement concept to attain excellence in manufacturing. 4. Follow up closely with planning team to meet customers' OTD and maintain a good level of WIP. 5. Support prototype activities when required without compromising OTD for customers. 6. Manage OT hours and operational cost. 7. Ensure all personnel responsible for production are adequately trained at an appropriate level of quality required for the process prior to be positioned at a station. 8. Responsible to ensure production staff are equipped with appropriate attire, tools, WIs to perform their task effectively. 9. Responsible to organize shift/daily meetings to communicate issues and review output and OTD related issues with subordinates, superior, supporting staff and/or planning team. 10. Ensure compliance to QMS, EMS and RBA (Responsible Business Alliance). 11. Maintain a well-organized working environment always deploying 5S concept. 12. Strive to meet company and department goals as set. 13. To take up task provided by superiors and feedback timely. Requirements: 1. Degree/Diploma with 5 to 8 years of manufacturing experience. 2. Able to work on shift. 3. Hands on experience in Excel and analysis acumen 4. Reliable, committed, and passionate on working with a team of production staff. 5. Punctuality and honesty in execution of job responsibilities are paramount.
