Counsellor, Student Affairs Admissions & Record (KL)

-Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with students and parents. -Encouraging students to talk about issues they feel they cannot normally share with others. -Actively listening to students concerns and empathizing with their position. -Accepting without bias the issues raised by students. -Helping students to make decisions and choices regarding possible ways forward. -Liaising, as necessary, with other agencies and individuals to help make changes based on the issues raised by students. -Keeping records and using reporting tools. -Develops a network of alumni by identifying and training successful alumni willing to help recruit students; coordinating the network's activities. -Welcomes prospective students by processing paperwork; interviewing applicants; arranging and conducting campus tours; conducting follow-up activities such as letter writing. -Maintains recruiting operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. -Improves quality results by studying, evaluating and re-designing processes; implementing changes. -Enhances admissions department and university reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. -Responsible for the guidance and development of the Student Council and monitoring Student Council Portal. -Participate in Student Orientation, Student Hostel Management, Student Co-curriculum Activities, Sports, Competitions, Industry Talks and any related activities required by the Management.
