  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Purpose

The Information Technology Intern will assist in supporting and maintaining the college’s IT systems, networks, and technology services. This internship provides hands-on experience in troubleshooting, software installation, and IT infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Help monitor and manage the performance of servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records of IT assets such as computers, peripherals, and software licenses.
  • Support the implementation of IT security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to provide end-user support for staff and students, resolving technical issues.
  • Assist in updating and managing the college’s IT systems, ensuring all software and hardware are up to date.
  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades and new software rollouts.
  • Prepare documentation for IT procedures and contribute to user training materials.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the IT Manager.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux) and common software applications.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
