  • Work with Early Intervention Program and Special Education Program to meet student needs.
  • Educate special education students with various disabilities including learning disabilities, slow processing, ADHD and/or on the Autism Spectrum
  • Teach students in small group pull-out instruction and inclusion.
  • Communicate and collaborate with parents/guardians, general education teachers, administrators, and other service providers regarding student progress.
  • Develop lesson plans; identify instructional materials; assess equipment needs to augment instruction; maintain student data; utilize a variety of instructional strategies to improve student achievement in a general curriculum; and promote positive student behavior.
  • Schedule and conduct IEP meetings and prepare relevant paperwork.
  • Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals regarding students’ educational programming.
  • Work closely with Special Education Coordinator to meet program goals.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional learning activities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain systems to monitor overall student progress and specific progress toward achieving goals through formal, informal assessments, and data collection.
  • Identify and provide support needed by classroom teachers to assist student progress.
  • Administer interventions with fidelity.
  • Collect and provide available data for monitoring and evaluation of intervention and strategies.
  • Collect entry, exit, discontinuing, and end-of-the year data using approved format, procedures, and materials as required.
  • Assess and interpret specialized and/or standardized test results and other data in or to select interventions aligned to identified learning gaps or skill deficiencies.
  • Provide information relative to specialized strategies and their application in the classroom.
  • Provide direct instruction to students identified as eligible for early intervention services using one of five approved delivery models: Augmented, self-Contained, Pull-Out, Reduced Class, Reading Recovery Program.
  • Use identified needs to promote student mastery of prerequisite skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and prioritize short and long-term instructional objectives based on district curriculum.
  • Evaluate, select, and modify resources and activities.
  • Provide initial focus for the lesson.
  • Organize content for presentation of the lesson.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM2,200.00 per month

Expected hours: 40 per week
